²¹ Abiathar told David that Saul had slain Adonai’s kohanim. ²² Then David said to Abiathar, “I knew on that day, when Doeg the Edomite was there, that he would surely tell Saul. I have brought about the death of all the people of your father’s house. ²³ Stay with me, and fear not; for the one who is seeking my life is seeking your life too—but with me you will be safe.”
